Who Is It For?

Rhylthyme is for anyone who has a lot of things going on at once and cannot keep it all in their head. If you run complex real-time schedules and a simple timer is not enough, this is the tool. It fits wet lab scientists, chefs, and event planners especially well. You type what you need in plain language and get a live schedule you can follow.

What I Like

Most timers only do start and stop. They do not understand that one task has to finish before another, or that you have limits like one oven and two burners. Rhylthyme gets that. You can say something like "Thanksgiving dinner for 8, one oven, two burners, all the fixings" and it gives you a schedule that knows dependencies and constraints. You follow it live and it can adjust as you go.

Project management tools are built for weeks and milestones. This one is built for minutes and hours. It is based on an open source workflow language, but you do not have to learn that. You just type in the chat. Right now it is free, and that is already a strong reason to try it if this is your kind of problem.

What Could Be Better

There is no iOS or Android app yet. You can bookmark the site and use it from your phone browser, but no native app. Also, if you close or leave the browser, timelines do not keep running in the background. So for long runs you need to keep the tab open. Those are the main limits today.
