Keepsake Review: Is It Worth It in 2026?
· Reviewed by Dan
Keepsake helps you remember important dates and pick better gifts without last minute panic.
Who Is It For?
Keepsake is for people who genuinely care about the people in their life, but they struggle with the execution.
If you have a lot going on, you forget birthdays, anniversaries, and other important moments. Then it is suddenly too late, and you end up doing the panic buy, the gift card, or the Amazon rush order.
This is for parents, siblings, a partner, close friends, basically anyone where you want to show up consistently, but your brain and calendar do not cooperate.
What I Like
This tool is basically two things in one place, and I think that is the whole point.
First, it helps you remember the dates. Birthdays and important moments, and it nudges you early enough that you can actually do something thoughtful.
Second, it helps with gift recommendations. The nice part is it is not just a random brainstorm. Keepsake is trying to know your people, so the ideas can actually fit.
Also, it tracks what you have already given. That matters. Wishlists tell you what someone wants, and ChatGPT can brainstorm ideas, but neither remembers that you gave your mom the same candle two years in a row. Keepsake does.
Pricing is also generous. You can try it free with up to 3 people, no credit card. The paid tier is $39 a year, which is $3.25 a month. That is less than one forgettable last minute gift.
What Could Be Better
You do need to put in some upfront effort. You have to add your people, and the more you describe someone, the better the gift ideas get.
It is web only for now. It works on mobile in the browser, but it is still a web app. A native app is coming soon, and that will help.
The free tier is limited to 3 people, so if you have a big family or a big social circle, you will hit that ceiling pretty fast.
Verdict
I like this a lot, because it is a more holistic solution to a real problem. It is not that people do not care, they just run out of time and mental capacity.
If you are the type of person who means well, but keeps showing up late with a gift card, this is for you. I would recommend trying the free tier, and if it clicks, the yearly plan feels totally fair.
